Honouring the memory and lives of 215 children

As we all take in the gravity of the discovery of the 215 children of the Tk’emlups te Scewepemic First Nation whose bodies were found at the former Kamloops residential school we at the Eastern Ontario Regional Network are pausing to reflect on our past and honour the memories of these children and of others who have been affected by the residential school system.

EORN acknowledges that it is on the traditional territory of the Anishnaabe, the Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat peoples. We value the relationships we are building with First Nations and Indigenous peoples across eastern Ontario focused on creating a brighter future together.
