We are celebrating the completion of the final cell tower as part of the EORN Cell Gap Project in United Counties of Prescott and Russell. This means that all 12 new build towers and four co-locations (where providers share equipment on towers) are now in-service. Fifteen existing towers were also upgraded within the county as part of the project. This is the first county in eastern Ontario to be fully completed as part of the project.
The Cell Gap Project is funded by the Government of Canada (Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada | Logement, Infrastructures et Collectivités Canada) and the Government of Ontario (Energy and Mines | Énergie et des Mines), plus the municipalities of the Eastern Ontario Wardens' Caucus, the Eastern Ontario Mayors' Caucus and Rogers Communications.
